Half of 2012 is gone, I cannot believe it! My how my life has changed since January 1st. I started this year working at my job of 19+ years, a couple months after this year started, I left to just run my photography business. I always knew I would eventually be a full-time photographer, I just didn’t know that it would happen this year. While I miss my old job on occasion, I really couldn’t be any happier. I found my smile again. My clients get more of me. I sleep now. I am sure that sounds silly, but when you work full time and run a business full time, sleep happens when it happens. I cannot wait to see what the second half of 2012 brings!
June 17 | Happy Father’s Day Dad! A few years ago, I gave my dad a ‘Pie of the Month’ certificate. That meant that I was going to make him a pie every month, for one year. I think I did two consecutive months. Horrible, I know. It has become a bit of a running joke in my family. This year part of my gift to my dad was his favorite Lemon Meringue pie. You never know if it ‘sets’ until you cut into it. It set and was delicious! June 18 | Starting my week off right! Now, if I could only continue it throughout the week… June 19 | Apple slices and peanut butter – one of my favorite snacks! June 20 | This is a great BBQ sauce! The guys who make it are pretty darn cool too. You can find their sauce here. June 21 | I shot an extremely hot boudoir session today…I can’t wait for her to see all of her images! June 22 | I have never in my life burned brownies. Nice work Carrie, nice work. I think Betty lied. June 23 | Eek! I won something…and I never win anything. Lemonade & Lenses is a great magazine and resource for photographers. They just celebrated their one-year anniversary with a giveaway and I won one of the prizes. Woohoo!
June 24 | With the 4th of July just around the corner, I made a little sign to honor our country. It will be on my blog and available for download on Wednesday! June 25 | I did a little dog sitting this week. I could snuggle with Stella forever! June 26 | I picked up my favorite paper crafting magazine and got a free holiday download. The best part about this download is I ALMOST bought it last year. I decided I didn’t *need* it…now, I got it free. Yay! June 27 | I did my first ‘What to Wear Wednesday’ post! I can’t tell you how hard it was to narrow it down! June 28 | A little peek from a recent Headshot session – good-looking guy! June 29 | The prize I won came today! A set of 9 posing bags. I cannot wait to use them in my next newborn session. You can get them here. June 30 | Happy Birthday Lilli!
